Sculptra in Toronto.
A quieter kind
of rejuvenation.
Most Toronto patients looking for Sculptra want the same thing: to look like themselves again, without looking like they have done anything. That is a precise goal. It requires a different kind of thinking than most clinics apply to volume restoration.
At Skin Trek, we serve patients from across the GTA — including Toronto, North York, Etobicoke, and Scarborough — from our clinic in Richmond Hill, a 30 to 40 minute drive depending on where you are coming from. Patients who make that trip are generally looking for something specific. Not the nearest option. The right one.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is an injectable biostimulator made from poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a synthetic material that has been used in absorbable surgical sutures for decades. When injected into the deep dermis and subcutaneous tissue, PLLA particles trigger a controlled inflammatory response that gradually stimulates your skin to produce new collagen.
The result does not appear overnight. What develops over the following weeks and months is a gradual thickening and firming of the skin — restored volume that looks like your face at a younger age, not like a face that has been filled.
This is the core distinction between Sculptra and hyaluronic acid fillers. HA fillers add volume directly by occupying physical space. Sculptra signals your body to generate new collagen, which then provides the volume from within. One gives you something. The other helps your skin rebuild something it once had.
"The best Sculptra outcomes are the ones nobody can identify. Someone will tell you that you look well-rested. You will say thank you and change the subject. That is the goal."
Real results. Two years later.
These are photographs from two angles of the same patient, taken two years after a course of Sculptra at Skin Trek. No filters, no touch-ups. The improvement in nasolabial fold depth and overall skin tone and texture reflects collagen that the patient's own body produced — and continues to maintain.

Where Sculptra is applied
Sculptra is not a spot treatment. It works best when used to restore the overall structural framework of the face — particularly in areas where collagen and fat pad loss creates hollowing or sagging over time.

How long results last
One of Sculptra's most significant advantages is longevity. Compared to other injectable treatments, the collagen your body produces in response to Sculptra continues to provide structural support long after the PLLA itself has been absorbed.
Approximate ranges. Individual results vary by treatment area, patient, and product used.

Why Toronto patients come to Skin Trek
There is no shortage of clinics in Toronto offering Sculptra. The question worth asking is not which clinic is nearest, but which clinic is right for what you are trying to achieve.
Skin Trek takes a maximum of three patients per day. That is a deliberate choice. It means your appointment is not sandwiched between others, the injector is not distracted, and the treatment is not rushed.
Dr. Andy has been practicing aesthetic medicine for over 16 years, including a decade in Taiwan where biostimulation has been a mainstream treatment far longer than it has been in Canada. He has developed a particular sensitivity to the nuances of East Asian facial anatomy — relevant for a significant portion of the GTA patient population.
We do not upsell. We do not recommend the maximum number of vials. We recommend what we believe will genuinely serve you, and if that means fewer vials than you expected, that is what we say.
Sculptra pricing at Skin Trek
Prices are before tax. 13% HST applies. Most patients require two to three vials across multiple sessions. A full treatment plan is discussed at consultation.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sculptra worth the drive from Toronto?
That depends on what you are looking for. If you want the nearest available option, Skin Trek is not the answer. If you want a maximum three-patient-per-day clinic with a physician who has practiced biostimulation for over 16 years across two countries, the drive is usually worth it. Richmond Hill is approximately 30 to 40 minutes from central Toronto outside of peak hours.
How many vials of Sculptra will I need?
This varies significantly by patient. A common starting point is roughly one vial per decade of age, but that is a rough guideline. Some patients do well with two vials. Others need four or more. We give you an honest number at consultation — not the largest possible number.
When will I see results?
Most patients notice early changes at four to six weeks, with the full effect visible at around 8 to 12 weeks. Because results build over time, the improvement is often most noticeable to others several months into treatment.
Does Sculptra look natural?
When done well and in appropriate candidates, yes. Because Sculptra works by stimulating your own collagen, the result integrates seamlessly with your natural tissue. The gradual onset also helps — there is no sudden change that looks done.
Is Sculptra reversible?
No. Unlike HA fillers, there is no reversal agent for Sculptra. The collagen your body produces is your own tissue. This is one reason we spend time at consultation making sure the plan is right before anything begins.
Is Sculptra safe for East Asian skin?
Yes. Sculptra's mechanism is not melanin-dependent and does not carry the pigmentation risks associated with some energy-based treatments in darker skin types. At Skin Trek, we have extensive experience treating patients with East Asian facial anatomy developed over 16 years of practice across Taiwan and Canada.
